100+ Growth Hacking Tools – Public Relations
100+ Growth Hacking Tools – Public Relations

Check the list of public relations platforms, for example:

  • PR Newswire

PR Newswire is my platform of choice. PR Newswire is easy to use and have a great editor for content. Choose different target groups in the tools, location and use the platforms built-in list and set keywords for SEO to be found at Google.

A great tracking tools. PR Newswire’s reports tell you which releases were most viewed, which stories are getting the most engagement online, and gives you an idea of what kinds of journalists are looking at my content. After the release burst, you can use their reporting tools to find out which of your releases gets the most clicks, views, and shares. Knowing what works will give you a template you can utilize to make future releases more effective.

You can check other articles published in the same subject area you’re in, using the same keyword as you and learn how they did to get published.

Best-in-class customer service. A customer-friendly SEO-team can give you tips for the best possible headline, link placement, and keywords.

  • OutBrain

Great tool, it allows you to promote your content on articles from around the web that are relevant to your target audience. Creating backlinks to your site, the pricing model is pretty straightforward. This tool is useful for people with good blogs and landing pages that know all they need are views to get conversations and to be placed in the right location which is what these guys take care of that.

Pros. Gets your content out for people to read without much effort from your side.
Reach Target audiences in a few clicks.
Cons. No freemium offer. It could be a hit and miss if your content isn’t great.

  • TrendKite

TrendKite is a resource because that helps you keep up with progress and validates your efforts by showing the impact of each mention you receive.
The ability to track anything. With the dashboard system, I can create PR dashboards to track mentions for anything I want. What’s great about this is I can track other companies to see where I compare in PR coverage, monitor ongoing industry stories and trends, and even find out which journalists are writing about our competitors.
Downloadable reporting. I regularly download reports to demonstrate the results of individual campaigns. This allows me to provide a spreadsheet list of all our coverage, complete with links to the articles online.
On-demand customer service. The chat feature is a little green button on the top of the TrendKite screen. Anytime I need support with figuring out how to accomplish a goal, I can work with the customer service team through the on-demand chat feature.
Using this tool, you can create hyper-targeted dashboards to monitor articles being published on a certain topic. You can also look for the top-performing articles in that category to learn more about these trends, what headlines are catching fire, and which articles are resonating most with readers via social shares.
This information is especially beneficial when it’s time to write a press release or content piece on the topic, as it gives you actual data to guide your direction and increases the likelihood that your audience will be interested.

  • JustReachOut

JustReachOut is a tool that eliminates the need for PR firms by offering direct access to journalists and press releases. All that is required for you to do is to visit the suite and use the query tab to search whatever topic you are looking to find and there will be results with some of the press releases and journalist contacts.

This is an amazing platform very useful for startups looking to get press exposure. Justreachout puts you in contact with relevant journalists, bloggers that talk about your niche/business. You simply enter keywords around what you’re looking for and they show you relevant bloggers, journalists that talk about what you’re after for plus their materials on the subject matter. After that, they support you and help you out in writing an email to this person to gain their attention. They provide you with email templates, a team to help you write an email, plus helping you polish an email draft you have before sending it off.

Really powerful tool highly recommend try it out for 3 to 6 months and see if it works. It would cost you a few hundred dollars but the return is great and the backlinks that would be created last for a while.

Pros. Shows you relevant Quora and Reddit threads around your business. Analytics email tracking. Organized media lists.
Cons. You need to have a bit of money in your account, not suitable for bootstrap start-ups.
lack of quantity of knowledge base material.

  • Muck Rack

When you research a journalist online, you most likely find their profile on Muck Rack. Muck Rack is an excellent journalist research tool that gives you what you need to craft well-researched pitches. You can learn a lot about a journalist (and their style) by reviewing the article links provided in the dashboard as well as viewing their social media feeds.
Benefits with the program:
Integration with social media.
Notations and pitch logs. The system makes it possible to add notes and pitch logs, so you can track your points of contact with journalists. This is useful for continual follow-up and tracking the effectiveness of your efforts.

Media outlet research. Muck Rack maintains an extensive list of media outlets, which includes their reach and other relevant details PR professionals need. It’s a great tool for building your list of outlets that you want to pursue with knowledge of the potential reach you’ll get from their audience base.
Social integration is a favorite feature, it helps me to continue to follow, build relationships and have conversations with journalists, editors, and producers I’d like to connect with.

With all the great tools out there for PR professionals, it’s important to have a suite that fits your working style and the goals of your organization. Before signing on the dotted line for any new software, ask for a test drive so you can get a feel for how that program fits into your routine.

  • Polldaddy

Just as the name implies, Polldaddy is a tool that is entirely focused on polls and surveys. This ‘poll’ tool is used to collate substantive information about the market. Polldaddy is instrumental in collating considerable information and can be tailored for specific results.

You have the opportunity to plug in The Polldaddy Polls-and-Ratings into your WordPress dashboard.
